Florida Eta Chapter of Pi Gamma Mu

Welcome USF students,

You are most likely looking at this page because you received an email inviting you to join PGM.  Congratulations! A few may be  asking "Why me?  I've really messed up at . . . ."  The answer is simple.  We are not concerned about your past at other schools. The only number that matter to us is your current USF GPA. We are also forgiving if your GPA has been dragged down by grades that are older than incoming freshmen.  If you received the email from the registrar office, you qualify for our honor society.  Everyone is entitled to outlive their past, even on an official transcript.

Florida Eta, USF's chapter, is a nationally recognized chapter for our leadership, service projects, and work with other student organPi Gamma Mu Flagizations to enrich our community.

We accept applications from undergraduates, graduates, post graduates and alumni.   All Graduate level students are invited to join, regardless of GPA or other general requirements. The USF graduate school's highly competitive application process is much higher than the chapter's so everyone who is admitted to the graduate school qualifies.

Our induction ceremony is held in November and April of each year.  If your application arrives more than 2 days after induction, your application will be held until the next semester.  You will still be considered a member and will be invited to all member events. Students attending Induction receive an honor cord.  If you wish to receive your certificate at the induction ceremony, you must have the application and fees in by March 1st for Spring and Oct 1st for fall.   You may bring your application to initiation and your certifticate will be mailed to you about 4 weeks after the ceremony.  All certificates originate at our national headquarters. They will then be created and mailed to the treasurer for signing by the current president and vice president, then mailed out to new members.

Our online application will email your application and take you to a page with payment options for credit cards and paypal.   If PayPal does not allow you to make a payment, you will not be rejected by PGM.  Paypal sometimes has isseus. If this does occur, please use the PayPal link at the top of this page and retry.

The print and mail form is quick and easy if you want to pay by check.

Please note that Florida Eta can only accept applications from students and alumni of the University of South Florida.  Students from other schools need to contact their chapter sponsor or PGM Headquarters about joining.
